Find a Local Mechanic

We have used Brian Tire for our car service almost exclusively for a few years now. We only go elsewhere if they are backed up and cannot service our car. We find them to be very honest and we trust that they do the necessary work and they don't try to upsell us. We plan to drive our vehicle to Miami Feb. 5th and it needed service......there were a couple of little issues we'd noticed. We took the vehicle in the morning of Jan.19th (it was quite cold that morning ~ 32 degrees) and this is the beginning of a not so pleasant experience with Brian Tires ~ specifically Damon. My vehicle was making a strange sound when tuning the wheel that was only present when temps were very cold which is why we opted to take the vehicle in that morning. I asked Damon to come outside & listen to the noise I was hearing. He said the service technician would hear it when they took it in the shop. I explained that if the vehicle sat in the sun and warmed up, it was likely the noise would not be detected because it only presented itself when cold. He flatly told me he was not going outside because it was too cold! (what????) I let him know it was important to me for him or "someone" to hear the noise that I was referring to. He literally "rolled his eyes" and started out from behind the counter. Once outside he wanted to stand outside to hear the noise I was hearing inside. Who knows if they are one in the same? I asked him to get inside the car and very reluctantly he did. My invoice ended up being $1200+ which was fine, but I noticed the steering was pulling left as I drove down the highway. I called and asked Damon about bringing my vehicle back the next day as a drop off because I had an appointment that could not be changed. I asked if I could be picked up by Brian Tires at my appointment that was literally 3 minutes away from their location. Damon refused that request. I reminded him I had just paid $1200+ for repairs and the steering was not pulling prior to the repairs made there at Brian Tires. Damon actually raised his voice at me saying he had no one available to accommodate my needs so I asked to have the owner call me. The owner did call me and explained he had pulled my vehicle records and all had been done correctly and he re-iterated that he does not offer any pick up service. Brian offered alternative times but none worked for my work schedule. Brian's discussion with me would have been totally acceptable BUT he made excuses for Damon and I did not appreciate that. Brian was not present when Damon told me it was too cold and he was not going outside nor was he present (so far as I know) when Damon raised his voice with me. Customer service is just that ...........customer service & employee attitude is huge. By the way ~ we did not go back to Brian Tires to handle the follow up issues. Excellent service as usual.

I would like to thank Brian's Tire for making time to see my car immediately after my call. After thoroughly testing my car, I was told that my battery did not need to be replaced; it must have been drained by something I left on without knowing it. Brian's Tire customer service was not only timely but COURTEOUS and HONEST. I have been and certain I will continue to be a satisfied customer of Brian's Tire. Jim
